Centauro
is a Spanish rental car company that operates the Full/Empty fuel
policy, when you make a reservation for more than 3 days.
Some useful information regarding their location at Valencia airport (Manises):
Like
most of the car hire companies at Manises airport,Valencia Centauro
have no desk at the airport terminal . Some rental car suppliers like
Avis, Hertz and Europcar do have a desk , but ALL provide their
customers with a prompt bus service to the nearby facilities in Manises
Polygon, where the rental car fleets are located. This bus collects and
delivers the customers outside Departures. On your confirmation voucher
it explains this, so whether you arrive by air or to the airport by
taxi, for example, you should stand just outside the airport in front of
Departures and await the Centauro shuttle bus.
If you are not
arriving by air, you can go directly to their office and collect your
rental car. When returning a car, then you always go to the same office.
Please note that most spanish car rental companies operate a full out empty return policy. Click here for additional advice on Tipoa's FAQ page
With
Centauro if you rent a car for 3 or less days, you have the chance of
returning it with the tank full and the initial amount of money you paid
as a deposit for the fuel when you collected the car, will be
reimbursed.
I recommend that you take this option, as they charge
you a premium amount for the initial full tank of fuel. So it is best
that you do not return the car empty.
Filling up the tank before
returning the rental car is not a problem as there are many petrol
stations at Manises Polygon. i.e. just a few meters behind Centauro
local there are a Repsol and also a Galp petrol stations.

Take a photo of your rental car
Next time you rent a car, take a picture of it before and after you drive it . Whip out your digital camera or phone and take a snapshot.
Eliminate the risk of being falsely accused of damaging the car.
This could ensure that innocent drivers don't have to pay for the mistakes of others. It's wise to have your own record — just in case.
Your rental car is ready for its closeup inspection.

Discover the Wine Regions of Spain with Tipoa Car Hire
There are sixty plus wine regions in Spain producing a comprehensive array of different wine styles.
Improvements in Spanish viticulture and winemaking over the past two decades has lead to a marked improvement in quality across the board.
A Quick Tour of the Wine Regions of Spain:
Rias Baixas
Rias Baixas is on the Atlantic coast just above the border with Portugal. Here Albarino is the favoured variety making Spain's best crisp white wines.
Getariako Txakoli, Bizkao Txakoli and Arabako Txakoli
The Basque country on the Northern coast where the Pyrenees meet the Atlantic contains three small wine regions Getariako Txakoli, Bizkao Txakoli and Arabako Txakoli. The local grape varieties Hondarribi Zuri and Hondarribi Beltza and Folle Blanche are used to make refreshing low alcohol but highly acidic white wines.
Navarra
Also in the North of Spain is the wine region of Navarra, named after the province known in English as Navarre. It is overshadowed by Rioja, it's southern neighbour. Garnacha is the traditional variety used here but Tempranillo is increasingly used. Red and rose wines are made with these varieties and some white wines are produced from Macabeo and Chardonnay.
Rioja
The Rioja region straddles the Ebro River in the northern part of Spain's Meseta or central tableland. It is Spain's leading wine region producing mainly red wines from the Tempranillo grape.
Ribera del Duero
Ribera del Duero is south of the Rioja along the Duero River. Again the main grape variety used is Tempranillo, here known as Tinto Fino. Other red wine varieties include Garnacha (Grenache) and Cabernet Sauvignon which are minor blending partners to the Tempranillo. This region boasts Spain's most expensive red wine - Vega Sicilia Unico.
Penedes
Penedes to the south-west of Barcelona is best known for the production of Cava, Spain's sparkling wine. Still white wines made from Chardonnay and other varieties as well as red and rose wines, often made from Cabernet Sauvignon are also produced here.
Jerez
In the South of Spain is Jerez in sun kissed Andalucia is world famous for its sherry. These beautiful wines are not the only treasure to be found here. Jerez also lays claim to being the originator of tapas, the delightful small smacks that have taken the world by storm, and an indispensible accompaniment to sherry.
These are just a few of the sixty or so Spanish wine regions. All are undergoing modernisation and improvements as they compete in the world market.

Returning a rental car at Alicante Airport
You may need to fill up the tank before returning a rental car at this airport following the "full out/ full return" fuel policy. In this case and in your interest, there is Galp petrol station opposite the new terminal building.
1. If you head to the airport from the A7 highway, take the exit "aeropuerto" through the road N338. Then in the first roundabout take the road N332 heading to Alicante.
You will be able to turn back in another roundabout and then reach the N338 road back again to the airport and the petrol station.
2. If you already drive on the N332 from any direction and heading the airport, just take the exit to the airport through the N338.

Solar Storm: US Airline Delta Diverts Flights Across Polar Region As Radiation From Sun Hits
US airline Delta has diverted flights on routes across the polar regions as radiation from a massive solar storm batters the Earth's atmosphere.
The radiation storm has caused dramatic displays of the aurora borealis (the Northern lights) but there are also fears it could disrupt communications, damage satellites and cause power grid outages at northern latitudes.
Atlanta-based Delta said it had altered the course of some flights between Detroit and Asia to avoid communications problems from the storm.
Airline spokesman Anthony Black said. "We are undergoing a series of solar bursts in the sky that are impacting the northern side of the world.
"It can impact your ability to communicate," he said. "So, basically, the polar routes are being flown further south than normal."
